SCOPE

Nursing is a field that is constantly evolving & hence graduates have opportunities across various healthcare settings & can work in diverse roles such as bedside nursing, healthcare administration, research, teaching & consultancy.

Patient Care

As a registered nurse, a graduate can work in hospitals, clinics & other healthcare settings to provide patient care, administer medications, & monitor vital signs.

A student, after completing Bachelors, can pursue advanced degrees like Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).

As a nurse educator, you can train nurses, conduct workshops, & offer mentorship to nursing students. Also, can specialize in areas like paediatrics, mental health, critical care, oncology, etc.,

Graduates can work with doctors & researchers to conduct advanced nursing methods.

Graduates can work in Public Health Departments, NGO’s or Government Organizations, promoting health awareness, conducting health camps, & participating in preventive healthcare programs.

B.Sc. Nursing can lead to a variety of nursing jobs in other than India, Including Middle East, New Zealand, Australia, UK, etc., and to work as a nurse in another country, you will typically need to pass the nursing council exam for that particular country, complete a bridging program or obtain additional qualifications to meet the registration requirements.

The demand for qualified nurses in India is high due to population growth, aging population, and the increasing prevalence of chronic disease.

Admission Guidelines

  • Candidate should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or by 31st December of the year of admission.
  • Candidate should have completed +2 with science subjects including physics, chemistry & biology from recognized board.
  • Candidate must have obtained 45% aggregate marks (general category) & 40 % aggregate marks (reserve category) in physics, chemistry, biology taken together in +2 board exams.
  • Candidate should be medically fit

NURSING FOUNDATION

  • Covers basic nursing concepts, ethics, and principles of patient care.
  • Trains students in fundamental nursing skills such as bedside care, patient assessment, and infection control.
    Includes hands-on practice in Nursing Foundations Lab.

The Nursing Foundation Department introduces the core principles of professional nursing. Students can review related study modules in the Curriculum and explore our Clinical Facilities for practical exposure.

MEDICAL SURGICAL NURSING

  • Focuses on care of adult patients with acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Covers areas like cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, and surgical nursing.
  • Provides training in advanced nursing procedures, post-operative care, and emergency management.

COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING

  • Prepares students for public health and community-based nursing.
  • Covers epidemiology, environmental health, family welfare, and health promotion.

Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing (Midwifery)

  • Focuses on maternal health, pregnancy care, labor and delivery, and postnatal care.

Specializing in maternal and women’s health, this department supports extensive clinical training.

Child Health (Pediatric) Nursing
